Create Your Own Vans

As it happened, we were receiving so many white shoes over the summer from Vans that ASW team member Joey suggested that we do some sort of painting project with the shoes. And poof, "Create Your Own Vans" was born! We gathered up a bunch of shoes, and hit our first festival to debut the new art-inspired fundraiser and it was a smash success. We all love Vans for their reputation, vibe, and performance and when you combine that with the creativity of a kid's mind, the results are amazing.

For the second installment of this program, we headed to Akron, Ohio for the Akron Bazaar, organized by the good folks at Cle Bazaar. It was a blast! We had artists of all ages jumping in there to adorn a fresh pair of Vans and in the process, raising funds and awareness for our cause of providing free Vans, skateboards, and programming to those who may be unable to acquire themselves.
